A Hidden Bar with Great Views of Patong Bay
Bar No Name (or sometimes No Name Bar) is a small local spot hidden at the north end of Patong Beach, just below the Novotel Phuket Resort. It’s the kind of place you’d walk right past if you didn’t know it was there. I found it by accident years ago and keep coming back for the view and the cold beers.

A Different Side of Patong

You get here by walking to the far north of the beach and climbing over some rocks. The bar sits on a small patch of sand under big old trees, with boulders separating it from the main beach. It’s not fancy at all. Plastic chairs, mismatched tables, a bamboo bar painted green. But the view across the whole bay is better than most of the expensive beach clubs charge good money for.
They have a few sun loungers in a shaded spot between the rocks. On weekdays, you might be the only people there.
Food and Prices at Bar No Name

Bar No Name menu is bigger than you’d expect. Fried rice with chicken is 80 Baht, or 100 Baht with crab. Pad Thai starts at 80 Baht. They do green curry and panang curry for 110 Baht, tom yum shrimp for 140 Baht, and chicken cashew nuts for 110 Baht. Most Thai dishes fall between 80 and 140 Baht. They do breakfast too, and western stuff like burgers and fish and chips if that’s what you want.
I usually order just fried rice and a local beer. The food is simple, but it does the job. People come here to enjoy a peaceful moment with some real local food and drinks.
