A fun Thai Restaurant in Phuket Town

Tantitium is an attractive Thai restaurant on Dibuk Road, part of the historical centre of Phuket Town. The unusual name and the location at the very end of Dibuk Street make Tantitium a little difficult to locate, but if you walk by, your eyes won’t miss it.

The Tantitium concept is a little unusual as it is a spa, a bar and a Thai restaurant. For a long time, the design and layout of the place never failed to catch the eyes of the people walking or driving by its colourful entrance. Mainly, the restaurant terrace is tucked on the side of the main dining in what looks like an alley. Tantitium added some lights and lanterns in this narrow passage that leads to the spa building in the back, and the result is cosy and eye-catching.

We went for dinner because it was a rather hot day, we sat indoors on very comfortable sofas surrounding round tables. The dining room is narrow but cosy and welcoming. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Overall the food and cocktail were good and the dinner was pleasant, in a fun and unusual building located at a short walking distance from the historical centre of the Old Phuket Town. The spa is also a great conurbation after exploring the old town: Getting a spa treatment followed by a nice Thai dinner is the perfect way to end your exploration day before heading back to your hotel.
