Kalido Restaurant on Bang Tao Beach
Kalido (formerly Palm Seaside Restaurant) is a trendy seafront restaurant set at the southern end of Bang Tao Beach. Open for lunch and dinner, Kalido is an excellent place for a relaxed dinner by the sea and a lounge venue in the evening. The vast open space at the front of the restaurant is great for enjoying drinks and tapas before dinner. While the venue does not offer sunset views, the atmosphere is superb for ending the day with friends.
Kalido is one of the restaurants of the popular Twinpalms Resort located on the nearby Surin Beach. Twinpalms is known to be the Phuket pioneer for all kinds of popular party and dining venues such as the first brunch on the island (Oriental Spoon) and the first real beach club (Catch Beach Club).
At Kalido, You can choose to sit on comfortable sofas by the sea, in the central area surrounded by water, or as we did, at more traditional tables and chairs on each side of the restaurant. Kalido creates a peaceful atmosphere with lounge music played at the right volume in a very relaxed beach club setting.
