Hip Hop Club in Patong Beach

Sugar Club is a hip-hop club on Bangla Road in Patong, on the 3rd floor of the Seduction building opposite Illuzion. It’s one of the bigger clubs on the strip with a capacity of around 2,000 people. The original opened in Bangkok in 2014, and Phuket followed a few years later.

We’ve been a couple of times. It’s loud, packed on weekends, and the music is hip-hop, R&B, and Afrobeats. Not the place if you want house or EDM. The crowd skews younger, lots of tourists and some locals.

What to Expect

Two floors with a big dance floor, raised stage, and 350 sqm LED panels facing Bangla Road. They do live performances, professional dancers, and B-boys between DJ sets. Some international acts have played here over the years: Rae Sremmurd, Lil Yachty, DaBoyWay. Most nights it’s resident DJs.

VIP sections on both floors with table service. Minimum spend 6,000 Baht for small tables, 12,000 Baht for large.

Prices

Entry is often free on quieter nights. When it’s busy, expect either an 800 Baht package (unlimited drinks for 4 hours) or bottle purchase required. Bottles start around 2,400 Baht.

What to Know

Open 9 pm to 4 am, seven days. Gets going after 10 pm, busiest between 10 pm and 1 am. International DJs play later, local warm-up acts earlier.

Smart casual dress code. No beachwear or flip-flops. They do turn people away.

It’s on Bangla Road so expect the usual chaos outside. Inside is air-conditioned with two floors to spread out.

Not for everyone. If you like hip-hop and don’t mind a young, loud crowd, it works. If you want something more relaxed, try one of the rooftop bars instead.
