A bit of peace in busy Patong
Loma Park (which means Dolphin Park) stretches from the middle to the northern end of Patong Beach in Phuket. It is a medium-sized space parallel to the most beautiful part of the beach and offers some shade from the busy beach area. The park benefits from the shade of palm trees and other plants, offering a space for locals to sit and eat together or even take a nap at any time of the day. Loma Park is a tranquil environment for relaxation or recreation and is often the scene of special events, food fairs and official ceremonies.
In addition to the food court, Loma Park hosts numerous food carts parked under the shade of trees, selling good street food and fresh tropical fruits at affordable prices. These food carts add to the park’s charm, offering visitors a taste of local flavours and a chance to enjoy casual, budget-friendly meals and snacks you can take to your lounger and enjoy right on the beach.
Loma Food Court
Loma Food Court is a vast building at the beginning of the park, featuring a dozen local restaurants serving all the classic Thai dishes and some classic Western food. The place has been open for decades but never really got very popular. For those of you who are familiar with the concept of ‘food courts, in Asia, despite its name, it has become a collection of restaurants where you order directly at the table. On the good side, this is where you will find convenient toilets 🙂
The park is just a short walking distance away from Bangla Road, Patong Beach’s vibrant nightlife hub, famous for its bars, clubs, and entertainment venues.
