Where to Eat in Bangkok Riverside
Dining by the Bangkok Riverside is one of the most scenic ways to eat in Bangkok. There are many great restaurants by Bangkok Riverside (Chao Phraya River) that we enjoyed. Some offer views of the prime landmarks of Bangkok, like Wat Arun and Iconsiam. It can be very chill vibes or very romantic, depending on the restaurants. As you go along the river, the views can be very unique, hence each restaurant offers something a little different to others. Below are some of our favourites.
Sirimahannop Restaurant at Asiatique
The Sirimahannop Tall Ship, anchored at Asiatique the Riverfront Night Market in Bangkok, was built to honour the memory of the renowned โThoon Kramomโ vessel. This ship, weighing 475 tons with three masts, was the largest in Siam and facilitated trade between the Kingdom of Siam and Western nations, ushering in prosperity.
It was constructed during the early trading era between Siam and the West, a period initiated by King Mongkut (Rama IV)โs advocacy for free trade. This advocacy eventually led to the signing of the Bowring Treaty with Great Britain, bolstering trade and diplomatic relations. The Sirimahannop is a replica of this iconic ship, permanently anchored in front of the night market and serving dinner and drinks every day of the week.

The Never Ending Summer Restaurant
Never Ending Summer is one of the most stylish restaurants along the Chao Phraya River (Thonburi side), set inside a beautifully repurposed warehouse just next to the Millennium Hilton, and not far from IconSiam. From the outside, it still looks like an old factory, but once you step in, youโre greeted by a warm and modern industrial vibe: bare brick walls, high ceilings, dangling lamps, ferns, and polished concrete floors.
The space is divided between a large open kitchen, a relaxed bar, and two dining areas. One is more intimate and filled with books and artwork, while the other is brighter, with long communal tables and glass-topped wooden furniture.

NAAM 1608
Naam 1608 is one of those rare restaurants you donโt just stumble uponโyou have to know itโs there. Hidden deep in Talad Noi, along a narrow riverside lane behind the old Portuguese Church, this Thai restaurant sits quietly by the Chao Phraya River, offering a calm escape from the busy streets of Chinatown.
We followed Google Maps through a maze of tiny alleys and motorbike shortcuts before spotting a small wooden sign pointing to the river. From the outside, the building doesnโt look like a restaurant at all. Itโs a restored two-storey wooden shophouse with antique details and a soft vintage touch. Inside, it feels like visiting someoneโs riverside home. Old family photos hang on the walls, ceiling fans spin slowly, and mellow Thai music plays in the background.

Be My Guest Restaurant
Be My Guest restaurant is one of those places youโd probably miss if you didnโt know it was there. Tucked between two giants: the Millennium Hilton and the colossal IconSiam shopping mall, this small white wooden house looks almost out of place. But thatโs part of its charm. Itโs been here for years, long before the glittering IconSiam towers rose behind it, and it still feels like a hidden pocket of old Thonburi.
The restaurant itself is simple but welcoming. A white wooden house with a wide terrace stretching out toward the Chao Phraya River, shaded by a few trees. It doesnโt scream for attention, and most people heading to the malls or luxury hotels next door barely notice it. But those who do are rewarded with some of the best river views and a surprisingly peaceful atmosphere right in the middle of Bangkokโs bustling riverside.
