Saneh Jaan is an award-winning Thai restaurant located in Sindhorn Tower on Wireless Road in Ploenchit, Bangkok. Known for serving authentic and traditional Thai cuisine, the restaurant is especially famous for its seasonal Khao Chae, a refreshing summer dish.
The restaurant’s main dining room is large, with elegant Thai decorations and a modern design. Tables are well spaced, creating a calm and private atmosphere even when it gets busy. There is also a cosy bar in a separate room for guests who want to enjoy a drink before their meal.
We have visited Saneh Jaan several times since it opened, and each time the service has been exceptional. The staff is friendly and professional, and they take the time to explain the menu in detail. Their Khao Chae is one of the best we have tasted in Bangkok — delicate, beautifully prepared, and full of subtle flavours that are perfect during the hot season.
Saneh Jaan focuses on recipes that come from royal cuisine and old family traditions. Some of the standout dishes include Gaeng Ranjuan (a spicy pork soup with shrimp paste), Moo Sarong (deep-fried pork wrapped in noodles), and Miang Pla Krapong (barramundi with wild betel leaves). Each dish is carefully presented and made with high-quality ingredients.
The restaurant is expensive compared to casual Thai dining, but the level of quality, service, and skill make it worth the price. It is a good choice for business dinners, family celebrations, or when you want to impress visiting guests.
Saneh Jaan has been awarded a Michelin star for several years, most recently in the 2024 Bangkok Michelin Guide. Their wine list and cocktail menu are designed to complement the bold and complex flavours of Thai cuisine.
Another convenience is the parking — Sindhorn Tower has a large parking area, which makes it easy for those who prefer to drive, especially in this busy part of Bangkok.
