Saneh Jaan

Saneh Jaan: Michelin Star Thai in Bangkok

Saneh Jaan is a Thai restaurant in Sindhorn Tower on Wireless Road in Ploenchit, Bangkok. It focuses on traditional Thai recipes, including royal cuisine and old family dishes. The restaurant is especially known for its seasonal Khao Chae, a cooling rice dish served during the hot months.

The main dining room is large with Thai decorations and a modern layout. Tables are spaced out, so it doesn’t feel crowded even when busy. There’s also a small bar in a separate room if you want a drink before dinner.

We’ve been to Saneh Jaan several times since it opened. Service is good, staff explain the dishes properly, and they don’t rush you. Their Khao Chae is one of the best we’ve had in Bangkok, light and well made, with all the small side dishes prepared carefully.

What to Order

Some dishes we’ve tried: Gaeng Ranjuan (spicy pork soup with shrimp paste), Moo Sarong (deep-fried pork wrapped in noodles), and Miang Pla Krapong (barramundi with wild betel leaves). The menu changes slightly by season, but these are usually available.

The restaurant is expensive. Expect to pay 1,500-3,000 Baht per person depending on what you order. It’s the kind of place for business dinners, celebrations, or when you want to take someone somewhere special.
