One of The Best Korean Restaurants on Sukhumvit
Located in Sukhumvit 20, Banjoo Korean BBQ is where we go for a treat in Bangkok, and Banjoo stands out for its focus on premium meats, seafood, and those little side dishes we always enjoy. The team here sources Wagyu and Black Angus beef from Australia, as well as fresh pork, chicken, and seafood from both local and Japanese suppliers.
Banjoo Korean BBQ is owned by Chef Injin Kim, a Seoul-born chef trained at Le Cordon Bleu Dusit in Bangkok. With a decade in Thailand and roots in a restaurant-owning family, Lauren blends professional French culinary training with authentic Korean recipes. She focuses on premium meats and natural ingredients, avoiding shortcuts.
We think Banjoo is all about the meat. The dry-aged wagyu rib-eye (around 1,555 THB) is a must. Weโve also seen choices like intercostal beef, thick-cut pork belly, and beef tongue, all perfectly grilled by skilled staff at the table (which is always great). Seafood fans will spot plump scallops and prawns, also grilled to order and served with house-made sauces.
We also always order kimchi soups and myeongnan-jeot to go with the meat. Of course, we canโt skip the refillable sides: corn, kimchi, fresh vegetables, and that signature steamed egg thatโs so soft we always ask for extra.
The restaurant is fairly compact, with large windows, and has a friendly, casual feel. There are a few private rooms, but itโs best to book in advance as tables fill up quickly. We like that they handle grilling for you, so you donโt have to worry about burning anything, and a good exhaust keeps the air clean enough to enjoy a full meal. Parking is free at Mille Malle, which is a big plus for the area.
