Great Restaurants in Siam

Where to Eat in Siam

The busy shopping district of Siam has a surprisingly vast dining scene. The restaurants in this central part of Bangkok range from Michelin-starred establishments to affordable gems, many conveniently located within the areaโ€™s massive shopping malls.

What makes Siam special is its concentration of world-class dining options inside iconic malls like Siam Paragon, which houses nearly 10 different Michelin-recognised restaurants in its food court alone. From traditional Thai street food thatโ€™s earned global recognition to upscale international cuisines, you can find exceptional meals at every price point without leaving the comfort of air-conditioned shopping centres.

Paste Restaurant

Paste Restaurant Bangkok

Michelin Restaurant

Paste Restaurant in the Gaysorn Village shopping centre is another proof that the Bangkok dining scene never ceases to evolve and improve. Paste Restaurant started in Sukhumvit and has already made a name for itself there. Since they moved to the Ploenchit neighbourhood, the restaurant got even better, and with the undeniable talent of Chef Bee, Paste received a Michelin Star.

Located on the top floor of this exclusive mall in the heart of Siam, Paste is beautiful but a little intimidating at first. The friendly staff welcome you with a Wai and invite you to sit at a table or in one of the little alcoves near a floor-to-ceiling window facing CentralWorld Shopping Mall. The alcoves are much more attractive, offering a panoramic view of the hectic Bangkok avenue.

Uno Mas Spanish Restaurant Bangkok

Uno Mas Spanish Restaurant Bangkok

Uno Mas is an upmarket Spanish restaurant offering a panoramic view of the Bangkok skyline from the 54th floor of the Centara Grand Hotel. You can access the restaurant directly from the immense CentralWorld shopping mall, which makes it convenient to shop a bit before your sunset cocktail and dinner. Uno Mas received a Michelin Plate for Good cooking, and indeed, the food is excellent and the menu extensive, but as you can expect from such a location, the price can be steep. They are also proud of their eight-meter-high glass wine cellar containing 2000 bottles.

Uno Mas is quite big but is often full, and you should consider booking in advance to avoid disappointment (we saw some people eating at the reception area). One entire section can be booked for special events, limiting the seat available even further.

Koko Siam

Koko Siam in Siam
Koko Siam is ideal if youโ€™re seeking an authentic Thai restaurant in the Siam area. This restaurant is the definition of authenticity due to its longevity, having been there since 1996. The restaurants combine authenticity with a modern touch.

The highlight of the restaurant is the food and the large menu, where youโ€™ll find many classic, popular Thai dishes. We ordered their signature KOKO fried rice (280 Baht), Thai Green Curry (320 Baht) and Stir Fried Prawn with Chillies (320 Baht). All of the dishes we tried were extremely flavorful and delicious.
