Up and Above Bar at The Okura Prestige Bangkok is one of those rooftops that feels calm and elegant from the moment you step in. Located on the 24th floor, it doesn’t reach the dizzying heights of some of Bangkok’s tallest sky bars, but the view over the city is still wide and impressive, especially in the late afternoon light. I’ve been there a couple of times when I was looking for a quieter spot with a view of the area. The atmosphere is refined and peaceful, with soft lighting, a minimalist design where you can enjoy a proper conversation without shouting over music.
The drink menu leans Japanese, with signature cocktails featuring sake, yuzu, and other subtle flavours. There’s also a good wine list and a few premium spirits. If you’re not too hungry, they offer light snacks and small plates, ideal for a late afternoon catch-up or a relaxed business chat. It’s easy to reach from BTS Phloen Chit, and once you’re up there, the whole mood changes. Up & Above isn’t about flash — it’s about comfort, quality, and a bit of quiet in the middle of the city.
