This natural setting is unusual along Bangkok’s busy river. We went for dinner with friends who are into good food, and the atmosphere felt private and relaxed.

Thai Cuisine with a Heritage Touch

The menu focuses on home-style Thai dishes. Many recipes come from family traditions, adjusted by Chef Kannika Jitsangworn and her team. Ingredients are mostly sourced from local producers, and some herbs and vegetables come from Capella Bangkok’s kitchen garden. The food covers regional classics and a few specialities, from light starters to northern curries and southern-style mains. Both à la carte and set menus are available, which makes it easy to share with a group or order individually.

Michelin Guide Recognition

Phra Nakhon is on the Michelin Guide Thailand’s recommended list for 2025. The guide mentions the kitchen’s care with local recipes and use of quality produce. Chef Kannika has years of experience from resorts around Asia.

The Setting

The restaurant has a large open conservatory and garden terrace. Indoor seating looks out to the river, while outdoor tables are surrounded by greenery. Nice at sunset, with a breeze and boats passing by. Capella Bangkok has won awards as one of the best hotels in Asia, which adds to the appeal if you’re looking for a special dinner.
