Right in the middle of Bangkok’s Chinatown, Krua Porn La Mai is one of those places everyone seems to know – and yeah, it’s popular for a reason. We went for the pad si ew (80 baht) – thick, chewy noodles, pork, Chinese broccoli. Very simple menu but done right. Also had their stir-fried morning glory (150 baht) – fresh, garlicky, and loaded with flavour. What makes both menus so good is the smokiness of the wok that adds another depth to the food.
Everything came out hot, fast, and full of flavour. Portions were just right, and prices are super fair, especially for Chinatown. Whether you’re eating by the street with neon lights around you or tucked away in the A/C, Krua Porn La Mai delivers. This place is a solid pick if you’re in the area and want something quick and tasty without any fuss.
