A Creative Escape in the City
The Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, or BACC, is an art space located right in the Centre of Bangkok. Easily accessible since it’s directly connected to the National Stadium BTS station. Many Landmarks of Bangkok surround the space, such as Siam Discovery and MBK, making it a perfect stop from all the chaos of the Siam area.
The building is designed circularly. You can catch the escalator from the ground floor to the 7th floor, and from the 7th floor to the 9th floor, you can walk around the circular ramp. On each floor, you’ll find different art exhibitions from Thai or international artists. Each of these exhibitions is always changing every month or two, so no two visits are ever the same.
The centre is also known for being very open and inviting. Entry is completely free, and you’re welcome to explore at your own pace. When you reach the upper level, make sure to look down onto the central atrium. The beautiful interior makes it perfect for a photo.
BACC doesn’t just have artworks on display—each floor features creative shops, bookstores, and cosy cafes where you can take a break and explore. Occasionally, you might come across special events or exhibitions held in the main hall on the ground floor. The atmosphere is vibrant and always changing, making each visit a unique experience.
How to get to BACC
You can take the BTS to National Stadium station and exit via Exit 3 and walk into BACC since it’s directly connected to the BTS. If you are in Siam, you can just walk into Siam Discovery, where it will take you to the bridge that connects to BACC.
