Legendary Restaurant In Bangkok Old Town
Right in the heart of Bangkok’s old town, Thipsamai is one of those legendary pad Thai spots everyone talks about – and yeah, it lives up to the hype. The queue moves fast, the takeaway is quick, and there’s an indoor A/C area if you want to sit and eat in comfort.
We ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp, egg, and fresh prawns (120 baht). Slightly sweet, a bit tangy, and full of smoky wok flavour. The noodles are chewy, coated in that signature orange shine from the shrimp egg – not greasy, just rich and delicious. You can taste the experience in every bite. Also ordered their fresh orange juice (100-300 baht). Kinda pricey, but packed with pulp and super refreshing. It’s almost a must when you’re here.
Food came out hot and fast. Portions are just right, not huge, but satisfying. Prices are a bit higher than usual pad Thai spots, but you’re paying for the quality and name. Whether you’re visiting or just craving a solid classic, Thipsamai delivers. No gimmicks, just great pad Thai.
