Authentic Thai Restaurant In Siam Square
Koko Siam is ideal if you’re seeking an authentic Thai restaurant in the Siam area. This restaurant is the definition of authenticity due to its longevity, having been there since 1996. The restaurants combine authenticity with a modern touch.
The highlight of the restaurant is the food and the large menu, where you’ll find many classic, popular Thai dishes. We ordered their signature KOKO fried rice (280 Baht), Thai Green Curry (320 Baht) and Stir Fried Prawn with Chillies (320 Baht). All of the dishes we tried were extremely flavorful and delicious.
The interiors of the restaurant have been updated. It has a very homey vibe, looking more like a cafe than a restaurant. Overall, it was a great experience visiting this restaurant. It contrasts itself from the other restaurants in Siam, which are mostly chain restaurants in you will find in malls all over Bangkok. So if you are a fan of authentic Thai food at a moderate price, then this is a must on your itinerary.
What We Ordered
KOKO fried rice
Koko Siam’s fried rice comes with juicy prawns and tasty Chinese sausage, all stir-fried with fragrant rice. It’s a nice mix of savory and slightly sweet flavors, with that smoky wok aroma that makes it extra delicious.
Stir Fried Prawn with Chillies
Juicy prawns stir-fried with Thai chilies, garlic, and herbs — spicy, aromatic, and packed with flavor. It’s the kind of dish that has just the right balance of heat and saltiness, perfect with rice on the side.
Thai Green Curry
Thai green curry is rich and creamy with coconut milk, full of aromatic herbs, and just the right amount of spice. It usually comes with tender meat or seafood, soft eggplant, and fresh basil, making it comforting and flavorful.
