What to Do in Sathorn?

Sathorn is a central district in Bangkok that runs from the edge of Lumpini Park and the new One Bangkok lifestyle complex all the way to the Chao Phraya River. Itโ€™s known for its tall office buildings, luxury hotels, embassies, and rooftop bars, but the area also has a more local side. Along the main Sathorn Road and the smaller streets around it, visitors will find a mix of stylish rooftop bars, hidden cafรฉs, excellent restaurants, and small local food stalls that come to life during the lunch rush. The area is busy during the day but becomes more relaxed in the evening.

The district is easy to reach by BTS or MRT, and itโ€™s well connected to Silom, Sukhumvit, and the riverside. Sathorn is a good mix of modern Bangkok with some unexpected surprises, whether youโ€™re passing through or staying in one of the many hotels nearby. Many of these rooftops are perfect for a sunset with a drink after dinner, with music that stays in the background.
