A creative night market near Bangkok
Chang Chui is an unusual and creative weekend and night market located in Thonburi, mostly promoting local designers. The market is far outside Bangkok and mostly consists of a mix of restaurants, bars, local designer shops and local exhibits. Of course, the main attraction is the immense plane now used as a fancy restaurant called Na-Oh, serving three or 5-course dinner in a rather unusual interior.
Chang Chui Plane Market is beautiful and fun to use as a photo playground with many recycled materials, immense sculptures, and beautifully decorated venues. The location is rather remote, so it was difficult for tourists to visit the market once past the novelty phase. It can feel empty on weekdays, and many shops are closed. Apart from the plane, most of the food is served at street stalls.
