Akara Sky Hanuman

Akara Sky Hanuman is a rooftop bar on the 46th floor of the Akara Hotel in Bangkok. The bar is named after Hanuman, the monkey god from Thai mythology, and the theme runs through the decor, cocktail names, and overall design.

The rooftop terrace offers panoramic views of the Bangkok skyline, with the Chao Phraya River visible in the distance. The bar has a mix of seating styles, from lounge sofas to high tables near the railing. The cocktail menu is creative and leans toward Thai-inspired flavours using local herbs and spices.

Akara Sky Hanuman is less well known than some of Bangkok’s famous rooftop bars, which means it is easier to get a good seat without booking days in advance. The atmosphere is relaxed and stylish without being pretentious. Smart casual dress is expected.

The bar is located in the Thonglor area, one of Bangkok’s more upscale neighbourhoods, surrounded by restaurants, galleries, and boutique shops. It makes a good start or end point for an evening out in that part of the city. For the full guide, see Akara Sky Hanuman.
